RECYCLING OPTIONS
(1) We provide recycling curbside in most of our coverage area:
NEW! - We are offering curbside recycling to Garner, Clayton, Smithfield, & Raleigh Zip codes. The rollout of containers for recycling is very expensive, for other areas we are unable to provide future dates or future availability. We will notify all residents in the neighborhoods that have recycing available.
Why Advantage curbside recycling is best:
We have the largest wheeled recycling containers with lids (95 gallons)
We have the most convenient and efficient pickup schedule (saving emissions and less trucks on your street!)
We accept items that some other companies & convenience centers do not accept. (ie... cardboard, tin cans, etc)
It's simply the best! Convenient, but most important, it helps our environment.

You can still recycle! Did you know that there is a voluntary recycling program in Johnston County that is FREE?
Here is how it works:
You can bring your recyclable materials to a Johnston County Convience Center. You do not need a dump decal to use the Convenience Centers for recyclables. They take the following: Glass, Plastic, Aluminum, Newspaper, Corrugated Cardboard.

How does the new NC law that starts Oct 1, 2009 affect me?
Under a new law that takes effect Oct 1, all rigid plastic containers should not be disposed of in the landfill. The types of containers targeted are:
- Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) Commonly identified by the number "1" inside a recycling symbol on the bottle, is the resin of choice for most soda and water bottles.
- High-density polyethylene (HDPE) Commonly used plastic bottle resin, which can be found in detergent bottles and milk jugs.
The new law is similar to an existing law for recycling aluminum cans. We encourage all to recycle these items using one of the options below.
